Join Audubon Southwest and the Arizona Game and Fish Department for our spring volunteer workday at the Appleton-Whittell Research Ranch of the National Audubon Society. From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., help us complete the redesign and re-installation of our Headquarters Safe Harbor Pond, home to federally endangered Desert Pupfish (Cyprinodon macularius) and federally threatened Chiricahua Leopard Frogs (Rana chiricahuensis). Tasks will include installing a pond liner and underlayment, pouring concrete, placing rocks and substrate, planting, and more.
