Every Saturday at 8:30am – Free Guided Bird Walks
Every Saturday, a naturalist will lead a walk around the RDAC grounds, an Audubon Important Bird Area, at 8:30 AM. Binoculars can be provided. Dress appropriately. All welcome. For information, call: 983-4609. 

Every Friday at 2:00pm – Docent-led Tours of the Historic Randall Davey House and Art Studio, $5
Santa Fe’s only nature center has an unexpected artistic past.  Every Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM take a trip back in time and join a docent-led tour of the historic Davey House and Studio, preserved in its original state from the mid 1900’s. Keep an eye out for original furnishings, mural paintings and the prohibition-era hidden bar!​

Monday - Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Enjoy hiking trails and gardens. Trails lead through several different habitats and plant zones ranging from meadows to Ponderosa Pine forests. Bring your binoculars and cameras and enjoy the views.

Saturday, April 29 - Field Trip:  Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge - Presented by the Sangre de Cristo Audubon Society 

Meet at the Refuge headquarters at 8:00 AM

This half-day trip will give the participants a good opportunity to explore the refuge and surrounding area for migrating waterfowl species, plus the beginning arrival of summer songbirds. Thursday, April 19 - Mission Monarch – All Hands on Deck! Presented by Central New Mexico Audubon Society

7:00pm, Community Room at Adelante Development Center in Albuquerque, located at 3900 Osuna Road NE

The population of Monarch butterflies has declined an estimated 90% in the last several years. As with bird populations, herbicides, development and lack of food have all taken their toll. Army Veteran Debbie Pike, visitor services manager for three northern NM wildlife refuges, is involving students and community groups in efforts to restore habitat and track Monarchs in New Mexico. With a multitude of diverse habitats Santa Fe County offers some of the best birding in the state of New Mexico. Timed during the peak of the spring migration, this field trip is designed to cover a host of well-known hot spots and a few that aren't. Friday, May 4 – In the Americas with David Yetman. Presented by the Southwestern New Mexico Audubon Society 

7:00pm, WNMU campus, in HARLAN HALL, 12th & Alabama Streets

Guest Speaker, Dr. Yetman, writer, host and producer of the series In The Americas with David Yetman  will talk about and screen his recent episode, Brazil’s Pantanal Wetland: The world’s largest fresh water wetland, to be aired in Season 7.  In the Americas with David Yetman is an Emmy Award-winning television series that presents a new approach to travel and adventure, weaving together the landscapes, culture and history of the Western Hemisphere. For more information, visit: https://www.swnmaudubon.org/.

Saturday, May 10 – Audubon Pop Up Playground 2018. Presented by Audubon New Mexico and Ground Work Studio 

10:00am-12:00pm, Randall Davey Audubon Center

Come and build your dream playground, animal trail, nest and much more. Builders are given basic training, parts, tools and the freedom to build a fun nature playground. Free and open to families and children of all ages. Parking and pick-up at Atalaya Elementary School.
