The New Mexico Chapter of the Living New Deal and the Randall Davey Audubon Center and Sanctuary are pleased to host a “Fireside Chat” on the artwork of Randall Davey.
The presentation will be given by Kim Straus, volunteer researcher and docent at the Randall Davey Audubon Center. The focus of this presentation will be on the WPA/New Deal Era, when Randall Davey created Post Office Murals in Oklahoma and other artwork in New Mexico.
Randall Vernon Davey (1887 – 1964) was an American painter and art educator. He taught art at several institutions, including the University of New Mexico. His studio was in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His artwork can be seen in museums across the U.S.
Event Schedule
- 1:45pm There will be a brief tour of Davey’s historic home and studio [NOTE: the tour is not ADA accessible]
- 2:30pm The presentation on Randall Davey
